§ Mr. McCURDYI am not in a position to make a statement as to commodities other than foodstuffs. The profits on1314W essential foodstuffs are limited by the lining of prices at every stage of production and distribution. As regards other articles of food which are not subject to a complete scheme of price control, proposals for extending at an early date the powers of food control committees are under consideration.
