§ Major ASTORThe Housing Commissioners have instructions to render every assistance in the formation of public utility societies by farmers and others; and they have received a number of inquiries from agricultural areas. As far as my information goes, no societies have at present been promoted by farmers alone. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the pamphlet issued by the Department dealing with the formation of public utility societies and the assistance that will be given to them under the Housing Act.
