§ Colonel ASHLEYasked the President of the Board of Education whether he will use his influence with local education authorities to ensure that, other things being equal, preference shall be given to ex-Service men for any vacancies which may occur on their staffs?
§ Mr. FISHERI take no exception to the very moderate suggestion of the hon. and gallant Member that aceteris paribus preference should be given to ex-Service men, but I think that local education authorities are fully alive to their claims and that action on my part is unnecessary.
