HC Deb 12 August 1919 vol 119 c1117W
Mr. LYLE

asked the Home Secretary whether the Government is aware of the extent to which Bolshevist propaganda is being carried on both by literature and public speaking; whether the Government is taking any steps to counteract the effect of this revolutionary movement; and, if not, will it consider the advisability of adopting such a policy without delay?

Mr. SHORTT

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The Government is taking action whenever the circumstances justify it, both in seizing leaflets and printing plant, and against seditious speeches.
