asked the Secretary to the Admiralty when it is proposed to pay Colonel Marling, V.C., of Sedbury Park, Chepstow, for the 400 acres of land commandeered by the Government two years age; and is he aware that this officer offered to invest the money in the Victory Loan?
§ Colonel L. WILSON
I have been asked to reply. Payment for the land commandeered from Colonel Marling will be made as soon as the outstanding question of boundaries and rights of way have been settled with Colonel Marling's agent. Owing to the negotiations for the purchase of the land not having been completed, it 901W was not possible to take advantage of Colonel Mailing's offer to invest the purchase money in Victory Loan.
