Mr. DOYLEasked the Home Secretary if his attention has been called to the insidious propaganda of Mormon missionaries in this country and the distress and pain caused in many homes by their efforts to induce young women to join the Mormon Church and to emigrate to Utah; and whether he purposes taking any action to have such agents deported as undesirable aliens?
§ Major BAIRDIf the facts laid before the Home Secretary in regard to the action of any individual engaged in this propaganda appeared to him to justify the issue of a deportation order against him, I know he would not hesitate to use his powers. in that regard; but up to the present no such facts have been reported to him.
