§ Dr. MACNAMARANo, Sir. The Committee on Officers' Pay is sitting daily, and every endeavour is being made to expedite the completion of the Report. The work, however, is most comprehensive, and embraces all questions of pay, allowances, and pensions to all ranks of every branch of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. It is very essential that every point should receive the fullest consideration, and, consequently, the Committee do not anticipate completing their Report before the end of April.
