§ Major HENDERSONasked the Secretary to the Admiralty whether any decision has now been arrived at in regard to the payment of gratuity to Royal Naval Reserve engineer officers who signed on under T 124 Z Articles?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAYes, Sir. They will receive a discharge gratuity under the same conditions and at the same rates as General Service Executive Royal Naval Reserve officers of relative rank. Thus an engineer lieutenant, Royal Naval Reserve, will receive £74 for his first year's service and £37 for each subsequent year or part of a year. The gratuity will be paid on application as soon as possible after an officer is signed off his agreement.
