§ Mr. WALLACEasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Shipping Controller whether there are at present thirty-three oil-tank steamers laid up; and, if so, why they are not being utilised for carrying oil and other cargo to this country?
§ Colonel L. WILSONTank-steamers, which are only of use for the transport of fuel oil, are at present laid up as a natural consequence of the cessation of hostilities. I can assure my hon. Friend that active steps are being taken to secure that these vessels shall be turned to the best possible account in the altered circumstances now obtaining.
