§ Mr. WADDINGTONasked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that the pay of Royal Army Medical Corps men has not been increased; and if he will have the 50 per cent. increased pay 1420W given forthwith to bring the Royal Army Medical Corps men to the same rate as the Infantry?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe question would appear to refer to the increase in 1917 of the minimum pay of the private from 1s. to 1s. 6d. a day. This was not an increase of 50 per cent. to the pay of all arms of the Service, but the grant of a minimum rate of 1s. 6d., and as such it has been applied to the Royal Army Medical Corps as to other arms.
