HC Deb 03 April 1919 vol 114 c1419W
Major ENTWISTLE

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that numerous complaints are being received by parents from their sons in the Army of Occupation on the Rhine as to the inadequate nature of the rations being issued; and whether he will have inquiries made into the matter?

Mr. CHURCHILL

Two complaints from relatives were received at the War Office recently, and have been referred to the Commander-in-Chief for inquiry and report. Ample supplies have been distributed to the troops of the Army of the Rhine, and there should be no shortage.
