HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 c1218W
Commander BELLAIRS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, in order to stimulate international efforts, statistics may be published from time to time of the number of mines destroyed by different nations, including neutrals, since the Armistice?

The number of mines probably existing in the areas allocated to the different countries vary so greatly that, I am advised, no fair comparison can be drawn by statistical methods between the work of the countries concerned.
