TERRELLasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that, in consequence of the increased cost of living, the pensions paid by members of the police force under the old scheme are inadequate for their maintenance; whether it is a fact that many of the men are of advanced years; and whether, under the circumstances, he can see his way to grant them an increased allowance?
