HC Deb 30 October 1918 vol 110 c1491W

asked the Home Secretary whether it is by his orders that Henry Gogol, of 21a, St. James Road, Higher Broughton, Manchester, has been arrested; whether any reason can be given for the arrest; and whether any charge will be made against him?

Gozol was arrested for the purpose of deportation, in pursuance of an order which I made on advice that he was a Russian concerned with Bolshevist propaganda whom it was desirable in the interests of this country to deport. He leften route for Russia on the 27th of this month.
