§ Mr. BALDWINAbout 750 stores cattle are taken in to graze in the Phoenix Park every year from May to November at a capitation rate varying with the age of the animal. As the unenclosed lands extend to about 1,300 acres it would be impracticable without forming enclosures to take in dairymen's cattle or to secure them against unauthorised interference, as the park is open to the public night and day.
