§ Mr. MACPHERSONThe military authorities are already arranging for the release of as many as possible of those men whose services are urgently needed to carry on the civil life of the country under the scheme for the early dispersal of demobilisers and pivotal men. I do not consider that these numbers can safely be increased at the present moment by granting leave as my hon. Friend suggests.
