HC Deb 14 November 1918 vol 110 cc2891-2W
Sir L. HARMSWORTH

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been drawn to the numerous cases of soldiers who have submitted to transfusion of blood to save the lives of comrades; and whether he can see his way to advise the exercise of the Royal prerogative in favour of the institution of a special medal as a reward in such cases of self-sacrificing courage?

Mr. MACPHERSON

My right hon. Friend has asked the to answer this question. I regret that I can see no sufficient grounds for adopting my hon. Friend's suggestion to institute a special medal for award in such cases.
