HC Deb 14 November 1918 vol 110 c2900W
Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he will inquire into the case of Lance-Corporal J. B. Welsh, No. 511431, 780 Area Employment Company, Artisan Company, who enlisted in September, 1914, and was successively promoted to tunneller, lance-corporal, and corporal, and who after being wounded and undergoing hospital treatment was transferred to his old Infantry base as a private on private's pay; and will he say if a man can lose his rank and pay on becoming unfit through wounds?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am making inquiry, and will write to my hon. Friend as soon as possible.
