HC Deb 04 November 1918 vol 110 c1809W

asked the Minister of National Service if he has seen a query form which is being issued by Lieutenant Woosnam, one of the National Service representatives at Manchester, to men who are going before the tribunal; whether the issue of this form is authorised; if he is aware that appellants resent the inquiries made on this form; and will he cause its issue to be stopped?

No, Sir; I had not seen the form until my attention was directed to it by this question. It appears to have been drafted in 1915 by the Parliamentary Recruiting Advisory Committee and to have been in use in Manchester since that date. There is no compulsion on anyone to fill up the form, but if anyone has no objection to doing so it would appear to help his case and save time.
