§ Mr. CAUTLEYasked the Food Controller whether he is still importing from the United States large quantities of white flour; and whether he is now causing our cereal offals to be mixed with the American flour in order to reduce it to the standard as prescribed for our flour?
§ Major ASTORThe quantities of white flour imported from United States of America during the present cereal year are below our pre-War importation. A very small amount of imported flour is being released for admixture with G.R. flour for the loaf, and millers are allowed to diminish the extraction from wheat, thus providing an increased amount of offals for stock feeding.
