§ Mr. SNOWDENasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if the increased pay and the payment of the separation allowance and service pay granted to soldiers last October has been given to the men of the Artisans' Company, Royal Engineers; and, if not, why this has not been done?
§ Mr. FORSTERI presume the hon. Member refers to those men in the Artisans' Works Companies, Royal Engineers, who are in receipt of a special rate of pay. Such men are ineligible for the increases recently granted, but they may elect to draw ordinary rates and the increases, in lieu of their special rates, if they so desire.
