Major DAVIESasked the President of the Board of Education whether it is intended that the operation of Clause 10 of the Education Bill, 1918, which provides for the education of children in agricultural districts up to sixteen years of age, is to be postponed until such time after the conclusion of the War when the danger of the shortage of food has been removed?
§ Mr. HERBERT FISHERI have already stated that it is not proposed that the provisions of Clause 10 should be brought into operation until after the conclusion of the War. The question of the appointed day for the commencement of the operations of the Clause would be considered in the light of the then existing circumstances.
