§ Mr. MILLARasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether the practice of pickling eggs for consumption during the autumn and winter is to be regarded as hoarding; and whether, having regard to the interest taken in this question, he can make a full statement indicating the views of the Ministry of Food on the subject?
§ Mr. CLYNESThere is no objection to a person pickling and preserving eggs produced by his own birds. The question in what circumstances the pickling of bought eggs amounts to hoarding is a question for the Courts, and no expression of the views of the Ministry would conclude the matter.
