§ Sir G. TOUCHEasked the Home Secretary if he is aware that, while steel 503W helmets are being issued for the use of air-raid relief parties, members of such parties are not allowed to keep them in their own possession; that many times members of the Y Division air-raid relief party, both nurses and men, who assemble at the Northern Polytechnic, Holloway Road, have had to proceed there while the barrage is in progress without any protection, and that the experience of other parties has been similar; and can he hold out any expectation that the supply will soon be sufficient to give those women and men the protection that is available immediately only if they are allowed to keep the helmets at home?
