§ Mr. CAUTLEYasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food of whom the committee consists which fixes the price of wheat sold in the county of Sussex, and by whom is such committee appointed; and, seeing that in most cases wheat is sold by a farmer to a corn dealer who sells to a miller, what steps are taken to ensure that the wheat adjudicated upon is that sold by the farmer, and what, if any, steps are taken to see that farmers are represented on the committee?
Mr. PARKERI know of no committee which fixes the price of wheat sold in the county of Sussex. The minimum price for home-grown wheat is fixed by the Corn Production Act, 1917, and the maximum prices are fixed by the Grain (Prices) Order, 1917.
