HC Deb 04 March 1918 vol 103 c1742W

Mr. MORRELL asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour whether his attention has been called to the grievances of life assurance agents who are employed in administering the National Health Insurance Act; whether he is aware of the Report made by the Commissioners appointed to inquire into the causes of industrial unrest to the effect that the Government ought to compel an inquiry to be made into these men's case; and whether the Government are proposing to take any action in the matter?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

This matter has been under consideration for some time and a Committee of Inquiry has been appointed as I have already informed the House in reply to questions. It has already held several sittings at which the assurance agents have made their representations.
