§ Sir CHARLES HENRYasked the Secretary to the Board of Trade whether newsagents who have supplied with newspapers or periodicals regular customers who have been called to the forces may be allowed to return those papers which they are unable to sell on account of their customers having been called to the Army?
Sir A. STANLEYRegular customers who have been called to His Majesty's forces should cancel their orders for newspapers and periodicals before leaving their homes. If any cases of hardship to the newsagents arise in consequence of their failing to do so, the Paper Controller has power under Clause 6 of the Order to arrange for the unsold copies to be sent back.
