asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he is aware that the clerks and orderlies at the Labour Record Office, Nottingham, are receiving only 17s. 6d. per week billeting allowance, being precisely the same amount as was paid in 1914 before any increase in the cost of living; that these men have been disallowed fuel and light money; that these men are having to supplement their upkeep out of their own pockets; that when in need of fresh clothing they are supplied with second hand articles unfit for wear; and whether he will have inquiries made into the matter?
