HC Deb 17 April 1918 vol 105 cc409-10W
Mr. NUGENT

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he is aware that Mr. Frizzle, the accountant of the National Education Office, Dublin, is attempting to exercise undue influence on a particular section of the staff of that Department for the purpose of stampeding them into joining the Army or leaving the service; will he state in what circumstances or what instructions or authority this official is conducting such a campaign; and what steps it is proposed to take in the matter if this man is pursuing this course on his own initiative?

Mr. DUKE

The Commissioners of National Education inform me that they are satisfied that there is no truth whatever in the allegations contained in this question.
