HC Deb 15 April 1918 vol 105 c50W
Mr. HOHLER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether, now that he is aware of the needs of the country for man-power in the Army and seeing that there are a number of men under the age of thirty-five, category A, in the Army Pay Corps who had enlisted before the War began, he will at once take steps to transfer them to fighting units?

Mr. FORSTER

There are only about eighty permanent Army Pay Corps clerks under thirty-five years of age, and I do not know how many of them are fit for general service, but each case will be duly considered.
