§ Mr. PERKINSasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he can give any information about the arrangements made for the manufacture of potato flour; whether the necessary machinery has been supplied and to whom; and to what authority will be entrusted the business of buying potatoes and selling the potato flour?
§ Mr. CLYNESIt would be premature to give any detailed information on this subject at present. The Food Controller, in co-operation with the Departments of Agriculture, is actively engaged in developing projects for the manufacture of potato flour, and it is hoped that a considerable proportion of the surplus of this year's crop of potatoes can be used in this way.
