§ Mr. BYRNEasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he is aware that the Dublin Corporation have passed a resolution in favour of having municipal elections in July instead of January, as is now the case; and if he will see that their wishes are put into operation and have this alteration included in the Representation of the People Bill now before the House?
§ Mr. DUKEThe Local Government Board have received a copy of the resolution of the Dublin Corporation on this subject, but I am told that no similar resolutions have been received from other municipal bodies in Ireland, and the subject does not seem to me one which should be dealt with differentially.
