HC Deb 15 November 1917 vol 99 c606W
Mr. T. WILSON

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in his Department, ways and means are being considered for the future employment in the Post Office of wounded and discharged soldiers not previously in the postal service; whether there is under consideration any proposal for redistribution of work; if so, who are the persons considering such proposals; and what is the nature of schemes under consideration?

Mr. PEASE

I am anxious to find as many places as possible in the Post Office for disabled soldiers not previously in the postal service. No proposal for redistribution of work is at present under consideration, but, as I have previously stated, I am considering the appointment of an Advisory Committee to discuss questions arising out of the employment of disabled men.
