HC Deb 21 March 1917 vol 91 cc1921-2W
Mr. FIELD

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether, in view of the unemployment and distress in Dublin city, especially in the building trade, and also the urgency of providing sanitary housing and rebuilding the ruined business areas, he will consider the need of immediately advancing the amounts of loans already sanctioned by the Local Government Board for housing and likewise the moneys awarded for rebuilding, so that employment may be given at once and distress and danger avoided?

Mr. DUKE

I cannot at present add anything to the answer I gave the hon. Member for North Dublin on the 6th instant.
