HC Deb 26 February 1917 vol 90 cc1704-5W
Mr. A. WILLIAMS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War (1) how many soldiers have been passed into Class W Reserve during the last three months, and how many of these were suffering from wounds or other disabilities so as to be unable to earn their living; and (2) whether men drafted by mistake into Class W Reserve while unfit to earn their living receive any pay or allowance for the period during which they remain in such Reserve before being passed as medically unfit and therefore eligible for pension?

Mr. FORSTER

I think I have already answered the specific points raised in these questions, but I may add that the question of all soldiers transferred incorrectly to Class W is receiving special consideration.
