HC Deb 26 February 1917 vol 90 c1704W
Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War what economies and improvements have been carried out during the last eighteen months in the camps of the Home Command in the messing of the soldier with a view to the prevention of waste; whether any use is being made of the various by-products of the soldiers' rations; and, if so, to what extent?

Mr. FORSTER

Very considerable economies and improvements have been effected during the last eighteen months, and I hope to refer to the subject in the course of the Debate on Army Estimates.
