§ Mr. HOHLERasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that those placed on the reserve of officers and subsequently serving in the Pay Office are regarded as not serving in a military capacity and denied the privilege of wearing uniform; and will he consider whether the regulations may be altered and this privilege conferred?
§ Mr. FORSTEROfficers of the reserve of officers recalled for service in the Army Pay Department wear military uniform. Retired officers and ex-officers who are employed in pay offices in a civil capacity are not permitted to wear uniform.
