§ Colonel YATEasked the Home Secretary what the intentions of His Majesty's Government are regarding interned enemy aliens in this country; and whether they will be deported on the termination of Hostilities or will they be held until our soldiers are demobilised, in order that the men who have fought in the War may not find their places taken by aliens on their return?
Mr. SAMUELThe measures to be taken with regard to interned aliens at the end of the War are being considered in detail. It would be premature to make any statement with regard to them now,1580W but the hon. and gallant Member may rest assured that the Government has not lost sight of the important consideration to which he draws attention.
