§ Mr. DORISasked the Secretary of State for War if he will call the attention of the military authorities to the fact that Irish migratory labourers who come to England occasionally for a special purpose and return home when their special work is done are not ordinarily resident in Great Britain and are not, therefore, liable to compulsory military service; and will steps be taken to have a number of such labourers who have been forced into the Army released from service forthwith?
§ Mr. FORSTERI would refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave yesterday to the hon. Member for the Harbour Division of Dublin. I can assure him that careful inquiry is made into all cases in which it is alleged that Irish migratory labourers have been improperly taken for military service.
