HC Deb 12 October 1916 vol 86 c231W
Mr. T. M. HEALY

asked the Secretary to the Board of Trade, as no sugar was on offer in Belfast in 1915, will the half-cargo announced to arrive there next month be distributed to merchants on the basis of the first six months of 1916; if not how will it be arranged?

Mr. McKENNA

My hon. Friend is under a misapprehension in stating that no sugar was on offer in Belfast in 1915, and supplies sent to Belfast now will be distributed in accordance with the Sugar Commission's usual arrangements, through the same channels and in the same proportions as last year.
