§ Mr. BROOKESasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is fully satisfied that the existing long stretcher is able under all circumstances to negotiate bends in the trenches; and whether steps will be taken to produce a stretcher which would obviate the difficulties experienced in turning corners?
§ Mr. FORSTERAs I have informed my hon. Friend, the Army Council have no information to show that the official trench-stretcher does not meet requirements. Besides the long stretcher, there is also a short stretcher, which has been specially designed for trench work.
