§ Mr. THOMAS RICHARDSONasked the President of the Local Government Board whether he has received any complaints with regard to the overcrowding now prevailing at Boldon Colliery, the centre at present of an outbreak of enteric fever; and whether he will exercise the power he possesses to secure the putting into operation of the Housing and Town Planning Act at the earliest opportunity?
§ Mr. LONGI have received two complaints in regard to overcrowding at Boldon Colliery. I am awaiting some information in regard to overcrowding 1039W which was promised locally to the medical inspector of the Department who investigated the outbreak of enteric fever, and on receipt of this information I will consider what further steps should be taken.
