Mr. NUGENTasked the Chief Secretary when the individual owners of property destroyed during the recent rebellion in Ireland will receive intimation of the exact amount which the Government will sanction as an ex gratia grant to them so that such owners may make the necessary arrangements with their architects for reconstruction; and whether he will consider the advisability of intimating that the amount to which such owners will be entitled will be paid on the certificate of the architect that the work has been completed?
