Sir H. DALZIELasked the Minister of Munitions whether he is aware that at a-certain gunpowder works a German foreman named Werths is employed; and whether he has any information to the effect that the managing director of the works has changed his name from Kraftmeyer to Kay since the commencement of the War?
§ Dr. ADDISONThe foreman referred to-in the first part of the question was naturalised in 1908. The answer to the second part of the question is in the affirmative. The military authorities in December, 1914, after careful investigation of the case of the man first named, were satisfied that no suspicion attaches to him, and expressed a similar view in September last with regard to the man last named.
