§ Mr. MacVEAGHasked the First Lord of the Admiralty the names of the Advisory Committee on the requisitioning of steamships by the Admiralty; and whether he can state the number of steamers owned or managed by each of the following firms and the number of steamships requisitioned from each from September to December, 1914, from January to June, 1915, and from July to December, 1915, namely: Glover Brothers (Shakespere Steamship Company and Mercantile Steamship Company); James Gardiner and Company; Frederick Bolton and Company; Purdie, Glen, and Company; Howard, Houlder, and Partners; Houlder, Middleton, and Company; Mitre Shipping Company, Limited; Trees, Limited; Farrar, Groves, and Company, Limited; and Sir John Ellerman?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAA statement is attached giving the information asked for as to the fleets of the firms mentioned. No figures have been given in respect of the steamers owned by Sir John Ellerman, as it is not understood which steamship companies are intended. The members of the Advisory Committee to the Transport Department are my hon. Friend the Member for the Hexham Division, Messrs. T. Royden, E. W. Glover, J. Groves, F. C. Gardiner, and Sir Edward Hain.
