HC Deb 14 March 1916 vol 80 cc1903-4W
Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether Privates T. H. Symmonds and W. H. Brooks, of No. 5 Platoon, 1/1st Home Counties Divisional Cyclist Company, 6th Royal Sussex Regiment, stationed at Hildenborough, Tonbridge, have been refused leave by their captain solely through refusal to be inoculated; and whether instructions will at once be given that these men have leave, seeing it is nearly three months since they were allowed to visit their homes?

Mr. TENNANT

I understand the facts are substantially as stated. Inquiry has been made into the matter, but it is not proposed to issue any special instructions regarding these soldiers.
