HC Deb 02 March 1916 vol 80 c1218W
Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he will state by what authority Private No. 25737, 6th Company, 14th Battalion Worcester Regiment, is being refused discharge on the application of his mother, seeing that he was only seventeen years of age on 17th August last; and, if there is any authority for refusing his discharge, will the War Office give an undertaking that he will not be sent on active service abroad until he is the age at which conscripts under the Military Service Act will be sent abroad?

Mr. TENNANT

I have no information about this particular case. I explained the principles on which these cases were dealt with in an answer I gave to the hon. Gentleman on the 2nd November, 1915.
