§ Mr. JOWETTasked the Minister of Munitions whether Mrs. Flora Drummond, who accompanied and took charge of the girl munition workers from the Clyde on their recent visit to France, is the same lady who is known as General Drummond of the Women's Social and Political Union; whether this lady was responsible for the production of the paper known as "Britannia'' at the time of its suppression owing to alleged libels of certain members of the Government and misstatements of fact; whether Mrs. Drummond was paid by any Government Department in connection with this visit to France; and, if so, how much public money was paid to her as remuneration and expenses?
§ Dr. ADDISONI have no knowledge of the expedition referred to by my hon. Friend and no payment was made to Mrs. Drummond by the Minister of Munitions in respect of it.
