Mr. CATHCART WASONasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he has now been able to give consideration to the application of the Lerwick Harbour Board and the financial straits in which they have been placed largely owing to the Admiralty having laid in a large stock of explosives without the knowledge of 900W the harbour board, and that, in consequence of the explosives being stored there and the premises being inadequately guarded, a fire broke out in the premises occupied by the Admiralty and a terrific explosion took place, wrecking the said stores and also the fish market, sale hall, and offices; and if he will make representations to the Public Works Loan Department that, in view of the facts set forth, they should not press for payment of interest or loan for the present?
§ Mr. MONTAGUThis question is at present receiving consideration.
