HC Deb 21 February 1916 vol 80 cc445-6W
Mr. VINCENT KENNEDY

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the advisability of restoring the midday mail car service from Arva; and, in view of the fact that the train traffic is now normal and the convenience afforded the passenger traffic between Arva and Arva Road railway station, will he say what, if any, the extra cost would be?

Mr. PEASE

I regret that I am unable to incur any expenditure for the sake of restoring the former passenger service, indeed I fear it may be necessary, in the interests of economy, shortly to discontinue the morning dispatch made by cycle postmen from Arva Post Office.
